I've never seen a figure like this before, and it looks cool so I'd like to get it, but I'm not certain it's not some shitty knock off -- can anyone help me out?

It's hard to say, there are cheaper quality figures that are official product used for game prizes. This could be one of those.

I'm wondering if I might not just be better off trying to find a souchaku of Faiz, but I may still try for that one, in theory it seems cool. 6 inch scale faiz figure, and the bike transforms to robot mode

Judging by the accessories, it looks sort of like a repacked or bootlegged version of the S-RHF (Super Rider Hero Faiz) Faiz & Autovajin figures. The Autovajin did transform, plus it was in scale with the regular vinyl figures. Here's the original.

Although the pic shown of Faiz on the bike there kinda looks like a shinier version of this toy.

Siamsky only sells bootlegs, and bad ones, in my experience. That is definitely a S-RHF ripoff.
