It depends.
If you're not a kid and you're in denial that you like to watch kids' stuff, then it's not a kid's show.
Otherwise, it is.

1) What series and/or continuity are you talking about?
2) What do you mean by "kids show"? Do you mean something targeted toward kids? Or do you mean something that could be watched by kids and they understand it?
3) What's your definition of "kid"? Under 18? Under 13? Younger?
Most Gundam series are aimed at the 14+ demographic (at least for the US releases). Depending on the series, they can generally be enjoyed by ages younger than that, but some of the stuff will go over their head. There aren't any series I can think of off the top of my head specifically targeted to an 18+ demographic, but the general audience for Gundam series are middle school through college.

shonen is not for kids
one piece, dbz and naruto are shounen. are you saying those are kids show. air time has nothing to do with it. one piece at at 9:30 and it is not a kid show.

One Piece, DBZ and Naruto are definitely kid's shows. Anything shounen = targeted at kids.
Some more risque stuff is also classified as shounen, like HSD Kenichi or Fairy Tail. And they're still kid's shows.
My advice for you is: Don't think about it too much. At a certain point in your life, you'll come to a point where you'll have to enjoy kids' stuff once again, and being able to appreciate a show without prejudice as to whether it's kid's stuff or not will make your life easier.

Point of note: there is no such genre as "shounen" for anime. "Shounen", "shoujo", "josei", and "seinen" are descriptors for categories of print magazines. The descriptors often are applied to anime based off of the manga from these magazines, but they're not technically descriptors for the anime (this genre-based debate came up on another forum recently. You learn a lot reading these kind of threads, sometimes).

14+ is still basically kid's stuff (of course, with a reasonable upper bound). Only angsty teenagers who insist that they're not kids anymore would be embarrassed for watching "kid's stuff" at that age.
