Is anyone else keeping up with Countdown to Final Crisis?

Events have picked up and the great disaster is on the brink of breaking out, definitley worth reading if not for fun then just so you know the events that are leading up to Final Crisis

Although it is a bit steep to spend money on an issue each week, you can just read the wikipedia

so anyone reading it?

I'm reading it. Have been since the start, but only started buying around 35 or so. Really like Piper's character, most of the others unfortunately I'm not that keen on except maybe Mary. It's really picking up now and it's been pretty good- and the things they've done showed it was planned pretty well (Piper and the anti-life, Jason Todd's redemption, Ray Palmer etc)...
I just hope Piper isn't gone now. He showed great potential in those recent issues, and pushing him into the limelight showed he could be one of the few interesting gay male characters in comics (others being minor or too stereotypical).

Also like the subtle symbolism in Mary's costume.

Yes I have. Too many fillers IMO. Especially when the challengers are in Apokolips there hasn't been much happening. I'm still waiting for Monarch to show up and kill'em again.

Well, it's similar to how it was before, white costume, gold trimming etc., but the lightning bolt on the chest is black with a gold outline. I think the skirt is shorter too... But I'm not really familiar with the Marvels...

What do you mean by that? There's the sinestro stuff going on now, and the 'alpha lanterns' will be involved in Final Crisis.
