Nah.. the fear of a XBox breaking now is highly unlikely now. The only reason you'd need to fear buying one is if you somehow traveled back in time and picked up a launch system.

It's about...man, two, three years old? I got it right after they were supposed to have fixed this forever. According to Microsoft, it's the power supply, not the console, so I requested a new one of those. We'll see if that fixes anything.

I'm worried it's because my cat keeps jumping on it.

Aaaaand fixed. Apparently unplugging the power supply from the console and plugging it back in is enough. Thanks, X-box support site.
