If TVN wont do it, then, maybe anyone can?

I was up in the Leech channel for their irc, and they said that they prolly wont do a behind the scenes kind of thing.

That means they prolly wont do a Kamen Rider Kabuto GOD SPEED LOVE, The Making of DVD.

Does that mean that noone else will do it? All those subbers that are out there, maybe one of them would like to start their career by doing a favor for the fans and subbing that dvd. If not, at least this might cause a small wave of influence for the tvn to think " maybe we should sub this afterall "

Besides, it's only if they DONT do it. I never heard officially they wont, but if they really wont, then there should be no problem right?

Well, have they ever done any of the previous "Making Of" DVDs for previous shows/movies? If they have, then there's hope. If they haven't, there's no reason for them to start now. If anyone else wants to do it, they're of course free to do so; they just need to be prepared for the barrage of attacks/badmouthing that's bound to come along with it.

A making of? That seems like a lot of work; probably almost non-stop dialogue, unusual terms, more technical dialogue, probably a lot of onscreens.

My take on this:
1. If the only reason to get fansubbing is to push another group to start releasing the same thing, then that's pretty sad actually ... on both groups' account (one for pushing, the other for letting them be pushed)
2. I don't see any reason why a fansubber, who didn't do anything of the regular series, would go out of his/her way do to a 'making of' DVD. Usually they start by doing the series and do the OAV, movie, making of's afterwards.

Well...Since the "making of"s are usually released before the movie, it can be used as a promo for the main project. However as stated in your #1 it is not suggested to do it just to push another group to sub it.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with that. Actually, what I meant is that a group does only the 'making of' and doesn't following it up by anything else (neither the movie nor the TV series). That kind of stand-alone project would have little to no meaning I gather.

I don't recall TV-N ever doing a Making of, though it is very possible they would do one if another group did it. But, like Kyu said, its pathetic to do something to force another group into doing it.

*coughs* I'd be more concerned about this "break" they're taking than whether they're going to do a "Making Of" sub. Because if JP Making Ofs are anything like the ones we have in America, they really won't tell you anything anyway.

:P

I'm not too interested in the Making of because of the fact it's the movie, but rather because im hoping to see the cast behind the scenes and how the react to things normally. It's fun to see that after you've gotten into their silver screen versions.

Besides, If a Fansubber enjoys Kabuto, but realizes noone else did the Making of but they want to do it, noone can stop them of course, and if TVN did stop them, what reason would they have? They don't technically own Kabuto.. meh

I might still get the dvd anyway, after the movie comes out, since yes asia usually puts it together for a special deal. :/

>.<!!!! I want meh a MOVIE!

I don't think Kyo knew I was joking...
But anyways
T-N subbed a few extra things for Densah Otoko like that one little survey trivia show though but that's about it.
