If Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Were Real

I’ve always wondered what a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle might look like if they existed in the real world (yes, I think about a lot of weird things…). Thankfully, someone who is much more creative and crafty than myself also had the same thought, and decided to bring it to reality. AlexCF created a fine detail small statue of Leonardo based off the original red-headband comics.

That would be a kaijin. Kaijuu are usually big.

And yes, just put a bazooka on this guy's back, and you're all set!

Otherwise, that's a pretty good model!

I actually know a guy that has the head structer of a Turtle, and it's hilarious.

It's Leonardo. In the original comics they all wore red bandannas. It even states in the original post. You can tell it's Leo because he has his katanas.

It looks like a great model. It's not exactly a new concept though. Michael Zulli did it years ago with his "Souls Winter" storyline. I'd recommend the recent trade paperback to anyone that wants to a glimps at a more "realistic" version of the TMNT.

EDIT: The artist actually says the sculpture is based on the Zulli designs on his blog page. Cool!
