Basically, rather than bore you with all the lengthy chatter, i'll cut straight to the chase:-

We need lots of signatures from the fan base, showing that we are in-fact in support of the DVDs, and lots of emails/letters to be sent to the addressses.

Unlike the moderating team, who basically don't give a **** and lock all the petition threads, we need to do something if you want to see Season One on DVD.

This method worked for Gargoyles, Boy Meets World, Lizzie McGuire and Sweet Valley High, and there's no reason to think it won't work here.

All I'm asking you do is to sign the petition - it will mean a lot in this process of convincing BVHE (Buena Vista Home Entertainment). I should be getting an email from the Managing Dept. soon, and I will post a link to the petition.

However, the more people who sign it, the better the impression.

This method worked for Gargoyles, Boy Meets World, Lizzie McGuire and Sweet Valley High, and there's no reason to think it won't work here.

It's highly unlikely that online petitions were responsible for getting those shows onto DVD. There's no way to prove that they have any real validity considering there are ways for one person to sign the thing multiple times. I would be surprised if anyone in the industry took them seriously. Many times, there's a movement, behind the scenes, by fans - letter-writing campaigns, call-ins, etc - that is the driving force behind whether some shows get a DVD release. More often than not, though, companies and DVD distributors have to believe that there's a wide market out there for that product, or they won't full with it no matter how vocal the current fanbase is.

You have two jobs ahead of you:
Get "The Powers That Be" to notice you.
Make them believe that, if they put time and money into a DVD release, they're going to see a return on their investment.

Online petitions do neither.

Man.. sad to say it but Online Petitions do not work. Sorry. Besides, why would they sell DVDs right now? 1) People are downloading full seasons or used to be able to. 2) The episodes still air on TV. Chances are when PR stops airing on TV is when we get Boxed Sets.

But who knows! Lets hope Im wrong! Cause I have bought everything PR related on dvd so far wether I had it downloaded or not. and if any box sets get released or volumes I would so buy in a heart beat,

Well, they're going by what would make money. While all of the fanboys would LOVE the season boxsets. Out of everyone in North America, it's really only a handful of people that would buy this set, and not really in the company's best buisness intrests to make, produce, and then market these sets.
