Hurricanger, 10 years after : your thoughts?

1. No Mecha battle (no one complained about it, so here you go)

I think there's some reason behind this:

1. The suit destroyed.
Not exactly destroyed "no longer exist," Senpuujin suit still displayed in the events in Japan (don't know about the others), but the suit might be no longer good to wear. I remember in Gokaiger 199 Hero movie, Senpuujin is the only post-Gaoranger Sentai robots that only appeared as stock footage, while from Gao King to Shinken-Oh we seen the suits in actual fight.

2. Toei not giving permission.
Yes, this movie is still Toei's, but the reason this movie can be made is because Nao Nagasawa. Toei probably not giving too much budget, so basically this movie is "official fanfilm."

Why would Toei not give permission? you know the staff is all Toei's right ? and they are using all the suits and weapons.
i think there was no mecha battle just because they didnt need to advertise a toy.

 

[Sentaifan'07 Xman]

Saw the v-cinema, and I have to say I loved it. There were some flaws with the film like Furabijou's return and the child being Shurikenger. But overall, it was not bad.

Just sat down and watched the OT sub (well, as best as I could - this mkv must be even more high-end than the Garo s3 files, my computer really struggled with it :disappoin). I've got very little experience of Hurricaneger; I've seen Gao Soul's subs of their two 'VS Series' entries, and their appearance in Gokaiger (plus their Akibaranger episode, though I didn't expect that to be applicable). I don't have any clue what any of their actors are up to nowadays either. So I expected that the references would all go straight over my head.

All in all, it's 50 minutes of people having a lot of fun doing something they haven't done for a while. Personally I think that enthusiasm was pretty infectious. No, the plot is not going to break any new ground for Sentai or change from the tone of the original series, but if the series itself was half as fun as this was then I really hope it gets subbed someday because I think I'd enjoy it a lot :thumbs:

This was actually quite enjoyable. It wasn't perfect, but it felt like it was a continuation of the show as the characters did not feel out of place or different. Not to mention it was kind of cool seeing how the cast has aged and how the writers handled what a ranger team would be like years after they have defeated the villains. I won't go into too much detail beyond, but I felt the flashback scenes were kind of pointless and it was also nice to have a Sentai adventure WITHOUT a mech battle for a change. I give it an 7/10.
