IMO just because he doesn't have RANGER after his name doesn't mean anything. He became part of the team, he had a morpher, he was a ranger.

The difference is Magna Defender isn't a ranger.

He was one of the allies. He even had a son who wore the same alien armor as him.

And then Mike donned the MD armor.


Not to mention onscreen (in To The Tenth Power/Power of Pink); Trakeena referred to the entire group as "10 Rangers" despite Mike/Magna Defender being there..

I honestly don't care. When mike became the Magna Defender, got his morpher, and joined the team he became a ranger for me. He became a member of the team.
