I liked the first movie more, but this sequel still made me laugh a lot. The funniest part for me was Park Hee-Cheol biting his own tongue just to avoid telling the truth. That scene alone showed how crazy the curse is. I also think the movie works because Ra Mi-Ran knows how to balance comedy and serious moments without making it awkward. Some political jokes probably hit harder for Korean viewers, but even without understanding everything, I still enjoyed the chaos. I honestly miss these types of comedy movies because many newer comedies try too hard to be edgy instead of simply being funny.

To be honest, I expected this sequel to be weaker because comedy sequels usually disappoint me. But this one still had charm. I would not say it is better than the original, but it did enough new things to stay entertaining. The village setting at the beginning also helped because it showed Joo Sang-Sook trying to rebuild herself instead of immediately returning to politics like nothing happened. That made her comeback feel less forced. I also liked the chemistry between the cast. Nobody felt out of place.

I laughed when they treated honesty like a horror curse. That idea is already funny because it says a lot about politics without needing long speeches. Imagine politicians being more afraid of telling the truth than losing elections. That is basically the movie. I think that is why the concept works so well. The supernatural part sounds ridiculous on paper, but somehow it fits perfectly with the satire. Also, Ra Mi-Ran has really strong comedic timing. She knows how to make panic look funny.

I liked parts of it, but I think the first movie had stronger jokes overall. This sequel focused more on the relationship between Joo Sang-Sook and Park Hee-Cheol, which is not bad, but sometimes I wanted more fast comedy instead of emotional scenes. Still, I respect that they tried to expand the characters instead of just repeating the same movie. The acting definitely saved weaker moments for me. Ra Mi-Ran especially can make even exaggerated scenes believable somehow.

I watched this because I wanted something light after work, and honestly it delivered. I did not need a deep story or complicated plot twists. I just wanted funny situations and good performances. The curse concept is still funny to me because lying is so normal in politics that honesty becomes dangerous. Also, Park Hee-Cheol trying to protect Joo Sang-Sook even while suffering himself made me like his character a lot more. By the end, I actually cared about both of them instead of only laughing at them.
