Hollywood Writers strike, How will it affect you?

There are too many millionaires and not enough money is being dispersed to where it is needed. You deserve to get paid more if you write screenplays for a living and consistently make people's days better with them. So I support the writers.

Why they wouldn't give the writers what they want is a mystery to me. Without them, the industry would not even function. They are its foundation. For what they offer to the entire entertainment industry, what they are asking for only seems fair. Once again, it's a case of greed, where those in power want to keep all the money for themselves while refusing to pay the workers what they are worth. Recently, this has been playing out all over the place.

Obviously, writers are the bedrock of the television and film industries. If performers are paid millions of dollars and allowed to live opulent lives, the Writers Guild can help them by assisting them and providing them with the ethical environment that they require. It is terrible that our society cannot simply provide sustainable employment with equal pay and safety for everybody. It's a shame that society as a whole is destroying our happiness.

I love reality Tv so I kind of benefited from the writer's strike

The writer's strike couldn't have come at a worse time for San Diego Comic-Con. It's frustrating to see so many studios pulling out because of the strike. I understand the importance of fighting for fair contracts, but it's disheartening to think about all the missed opportunities for fans to engage with their favorite shows and movies. I hope the writers and studios can reach a resolution soon, not just for SDCC's sake, but for the industry as a whole. Let's keep our fingers crossed that next year's convention will be back to its full glory without any labor disputes overshadowing the excitement.
