HLJ hates the high yen too!

To be honest,HLJ has better prices on some stuff than amiami, sure not all but
still some.I am not bashing amiami but there shipping seems slower than HLJ,
as last month I order stuff from both the same day and both same shipping
methods of SAL,and I got my stuff from HLJ over 5 days quicker than amiami.
Even tho amiami has better prices overall, I like HLJ's quicker shipping. But
in all truth they are both great stores in there own way.Later all.

It's just the opposite in most cases for me, HLJ's shipping often took 14 days or so, while my few SAL items from AmiAmi took anywhere from 7-10 days.

Anywho, it'll be interesting to see if they can compete with AmiAmi, if they can, it will all come down to who has better shipping prices and stock and stuff.

I've got one order from HLJ (Faiz) and a second from AmiAmi that shipped nearly a week later. Let's see who gets here first.:anime:

Feel free to not use the enter button as much as you do - text automatically scrolls to the next line. Or get a bigger monitor.

Hurrr hurrr, out of spite obviously!

I don't think you understand the concept of "accidentally", the fact that my orders were pre-orders placed at both HLJ and AmiAmi months ago, that he's had nearly a year of fair warning, or that I've been trying to sell my extra Faiz to this forum for about two weeks now.

How did you "accidentally" order two from different places? :eyebrow:

I guess just sell the extra one to Kenori, because maybe he didn't see that you were selling it before.

Hey Shukuen, the thing is I am in Texas but there may be other other things to
figure in,like the following that could make it get here quicker or slower.

1. HLJ may have shipped my stuff out quicker than amiami.
2. They may be in different locations in japan.
3. Mail or Postal service delays.
4. And many other reasons you can think of.

Try to preorder from AmiAmi, too slow, preorder from HLJ in meantime. Faiz orders reopen, forget to cancel HLJ order.

He's too late to buy it now, and probably can't even afford it.

And of course, NONE OF THIS has to do with this thread.

I'm a frequent buyer for both HLJ and AmiAmi so I would like to share my thoughts, don't know if this will help you guys determine whether to go with one or the other:

I live in Canada.
I usually go with EMS, but occasional SAL when not in rush.

- Prefer AmiAmi for low price.
- Somehow, I feel more personal when I exchange emails with AmiAmi's staff.
- Received a completely mutilated Perfect Grade Gundam (EMS) once from AmiAmi; got the money back (Gundam and shipping) back after countless emails exchanges for 3 months. Customer service is good, but slow in response due to Japan Post's slow replies.
- Look at their prices again, it's holy.
- 80% of my shopping done on AmiAmi.

- HLJ protects their packages a whole lot better than AmiAmi.
- Never had problems with HLJ's shipments; all packages arrived nice and clean, with lots of stuffing in them.
- HLJ has a longer "grace period" for you to pay for things; compared to AmiAmi, it would be 3:1 (HLJ:AmiAmi) amount of time given to pay for your orders before they cancel it.
- HLJ will hold on to your item for you if you have something else in the order that's not in stock. AmiAmi will just ship whatever is available at the moment. (Meaning shipping will be more if not shipped all together.)

- No significant difference in shipping speed, because it really depends on the traffic and the season.
- EMS takes no more than a week for me, while SAL will take a month.
- FedEX is just as fast as EMS, but requires you to pay for tax and import fees, which is a killer. Personally hate it.

Correct me if I'm wrong anywhere. Hope this helps.
