I really like helmet transformations where you get to see the actors in the suits. I never expect them to do the fighting, but it's always neat to see the actors suit up at least once. It helps ease the suspense of disbelief. Go-Onger did this probably more than it needed to. Still, despite not caring for the series overall, I did enjoy the helmetless rollcall at the end.
The best way to top that though is with helmets with battle damage. It does all the above and makes the characters seem that much more badass. It's typically a hallmark of some of my favorite series (Gekiranger, Jetman, Kamen Rider Blade examples below. Don't know if anyone cares about battle damage being spoiled, but hidden anyway.).

The TimeRed example also happened in Power Rangers Time Force. Obviously the smashed helmet scene was refilmed.
