yeah, I heard it's just kind of summary from the series but also not a simple recap/remake...
Maybe they will make new animation and the dialogue will be newly recorded?!

Old news, its been announced for a couple months, its just a recap movie of a pretty average super robot anime

It's not a recap per se. From what I understand it's a retelling with the same characters and themes but otherwise it's totally different. Makes me think of the Heisei Rider films being alternate reality stories.

Personally, I'm hoping it means we'll see more things like the scene from the start of the very first episode. GARlock ftw.
