I don't think many of you know that insurance in Canada are outrageous. I got an online quote from over 5 companies and they all averaged $10,000 - $11,000 Canadian dollars. I'm 21 in less than 3 weeks. I had my license for 2 years and it's still like that. Renting a car isn't that bad. These places offered me economy level - middle level cars for $60 a day with insurance. I'm planning on upgrading my VISA card to either Gold or Platinum so I can get the collision insurance waived since all the gold VISA cards cover it. You guys think it's a good idea to rent a car whenever I need it ? I guess it's a must for me now that I can't do anything w/o a car in this Country. I got really good credit. My credit's probably around the high 700s to low 800s. I only work part time so I don't think I'll get approved for a loan let alone the crazy insurance.
