For the past few weeks, there have been a lot of questions and speculation about the Special Edition GODZILLA VS MEGALON DVDs that have popped up at some retailers. Now SciFi Japan clears up the mystery with information on how the discs were manufactured and released to the marketplace, details on the amount of copies made, and whether or not fans can expect a wider release of the SE.

So we are getting them , but that this pretty much a screw up in the packaging process?

Anybody whom gets these discs from this incident are the luckiest bastards to walk the earth.

Not quite. A limited number of Special Edition DVDs were accidentally manufactured and shipped so the screw-up was with the discs, not the packaging.

That's actually what I meant, as in accidental packaging and manufacture of the SE discs with the others.
