Hey! As a fellow comic fan, I’m really stoked to see Godzilla making his way to Portland! It’s about time we had some kaiju action in our backyards. I'm curious how they’re going to incorporate the city’s vibe into the chaos. Hopefully, Godzilla leaves some of those coffee shops intact! What are your thoughts on the storyline?

This is hilarious. Portland turning into Stomptown? Yeah, that tracks. We've got enough problems without a 300-foot monster adding to the list. The city council can't even fix a streetlight, imagine them trying to fight Godzilla. At least the comic sounds fun and it gives local artists cameos. Mark Russell and Caitlin Yarsky showing up makes sense, they're solid. Hope the art captures how gray and rainy it actually gets here when he arrives.

About time Godzilla showed up. Every other big city got their turn, now it's ours. I like that they used real Portland people for the creative team instead of just shipping in outsiders. Makes it feel personal. The press release jokes are kind of forced though. Ore-gone? Really? Still buying it because I want to see how they draw the food carts getting crushed. Future Dreams better have copies stocked.

Love this. Godzilla has terrible taste in cities if he's hitting Portland fifth. Boston and Chicago make sense, but Kansas City before us? Come on. At least the book uses regional creators, that's smart. Colleen Coover is great for this kind of thing, her style fits the chaos. Can't wait to see the cameos, especially if more Portland comics people snuck in. Picking it up tomorrow, no question.
