When Extreme Ghostbusters reached the end of its first (and sadly, only) series, the heroes of the 1990s teamed up with their legendary counterparts, the stars of one of several cartoons that helped shape the childhood fantasies of kids all over the world. Rewatching the series, however, my co-writer and I felt that for a show that was otherwise fantastic, the original version of, "Back in the Saddle," was a bit underwhelming, so we decided to write our own take on it, this time as a three-act story that could serve as a television movie, were it in visual format.
Admittedly, it's got rather a great deal of fan-service, as well as a ton of references to the movies, cartoons and even the computer game. Still, we hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did writing it.
