General Web Comics

Im not straight but my boyfriend is
Uhm. I didn't see anything relating to general comics that weren't anime...and I was wary about making a new thread so I hope this is okay. If not, feel free to lock!

There are just a couple of webcomics that I enjoy, that I searched for and couldn't find anything on in here.

One of them is a web comic called MegaTokyo. I don't really read it online because the archive doesn't go as far back as I need it to. I've read book 1-3 though, and I own books 3-4. I haven't read book 4, because I'd prefer to reread book 1-3 as it's been awhile. Anyone else read it?

The other webcomic is called "Order of the Stick" and it's more for people who are into D&D. I'm on comic #284, and let me say that if you actually play D&D or have in the past and enjoyed it, then this comic is right up your alley!

VG cats is also good, but only when I know what videogames they're on about. And I love your avatar Keith. Wee Link!

Indie rock romance. With robots. Kind of soapy, but still really funny.

8-bit Theater, another web classic; FF1 told from the most skewed perspective possible.

Cynicism in its purest form.

I also love Penny Arcade, but JC covered that.

Hey, you asked...

same here. I used to read a few others. Like Movie-Comics (which ended sadly.. those guys had some hilarious strips.), 8-bit theater, mana theater, and staccato. But you know, it just became a hassle to check all these websites over and over and not find updates regularly. So I just slowly stopped reading. 8-bit always updates but the comic just got less and less funny so I stopped reading it, too. I really just read Penny and VG because they update on a regular basis and are often funny.

But, VG has been going downhill. I know the guy wants to branch out but you know what, I only got into his comic (close to when he started!) series because he did heavy gaming satire comedy. It was funny because you could relate (as a gamer) to a lot of his jokes. But there's been some recent moments where he's been focusing on some pretty stupid non gaming jokes.

Of the VG ones I really enjoyed the LoZ:OoT and Prince of Persia ones...but unfortunatly I haven't played any of the other ones involved in the comic. So, I'm kinda left out lol.
