Garth Ennis' "The Boys"....CANCELLED!?!?

Man, this was my favorite comic this year too...

For those that aren't in the know, here's the storyline.

Superheroes are basically normal people with special abilities who do freelance work anywhere in the world. However, when things get outta hand and the superheroes need to be put on a leesh, that's when you call in "The Boys". Experts of superhero blackmail, deconstruction and such.

Garth Ennis is a genius of a writer but DC decided to cancel the series due to the fact of it's "ultra-violence" and "potty-humor".

Hopefully Ennis finds another publisher soon. This series sold like crazy.

*scoff* That's very hypocritical of DC Comics. They cancel The Boys because of "ultra-violence" and "potty-humor", and yet last year, they allowed it in an issue of Legion of Superheroes (IIRC), where a psychotic Superboy graphically mutilates and mangles his fellow teammates (including Krypto)!? They can't allow new characters conducting this practice, but with their roster of "bankable" preexisting (and desecrated) characters, it's okay!?

I think it more has to do with the fact that there parodying some of there heroes like Superman getting a blowjob from the new hot young superhero. It's not exactly the most pleasant book either but still it was good and at least it found a home with a nice publisher.
