Happy Holidays, everyone!

SciFi Japan and VIZ Pictures are running a ticket giveaway contest for the world premiere of the GANTZ live action movie. The film will have a one night, nationwide US theatrical showing more than a week before Toho opens it in Japan.

Here's a link to the GANTZ ticket giveaway:

And info on the film and screenings:

And this is one more Christmas gift for the girlfriend!

Thanks for this, I knew the movie was being made and all, didn't know there would be a US release tho!

You're welcome!

it's a repost.

I did a quick check for GANTZ threads before posting but didn't see anything... that's what I get for being in a hurry. If the admins want to merge this thread with an ongoing one I'll have no complaints.

In any case, I wouldn't label this a repost since the links I posted include the ticket giveaway-- not mentioned before on this board (I just double checked)-- and high res images from the film that I got directly from VIZ and NTV (rather than magazines scans and smaller pics that have been floating around for a while). So there's definitely some fresh content rather than just a repost of what was already posted on this forum.

Orphen, I've already said I was in a rush before posting the GANTZ info and had missed the other threads, and that I was okay with admins merging my thread with an older thread if they'd like.

I'm not sure why you posted links to the other threads (did you complain about the second one of those as well?) since I already posted above that I'd double-checked them and saw that the high res images and much of the info I'd linked to here-- including the ticket giveaway we're doing with VIZ Pictures-- had not already been posted on HJU... and it's not a repost if the material wasn't posted in the first place. Your links just confirm what I'd said in my last post.

As much as I want to go see this movie in theatres, I refuse to listen to anything other than Nino and Matsuyama's own voices. I'm disappointed that the world premiere is dubbed. :( It seems like a smack in the face for both of them.

I wish I'd noticed this thread before the premiere. :disappoin

Though I guess if I watch it when it comes out on DVD I can hear Nino instead of whatever American actor they got.
