So I got called into work because of a scheduling **** up so I figured instead I'd try some Gundam Wing rather than another big TF (Headmasters) marathon which I will continue later this week.

So far, so good. I like the tone of this show. I do plan to watch the entire UC timeline but I figured I should maybe get 1 show down under my belt before venturing there and getting an overall feel for the franchise so I went with Gundam Wing.

Back in 2000 I saw the dub of Endless Waltz and really enjoyed it. Infact I recorded it off tv onto a VHS tape in one of my old Batman Beyond volumes.
 
Wing was okay; I manged to get the DVD of Endless Waltz for $4 but, I dunno if I'd go back to re-watch the series anytime soon.
 
To this day, Gundam Wing still is my favorite Gundam series.

There's a lot of talking during the first 2 acts, but the 3rd one is just great.

I noticed. I'm only 5 episodes in but there is a lot of talking.

It boggles my mind why this one girl is infatuated with Hiro after all of the threats and the fact he pulled a gun on her. Is it ever revealed if she snorts coke or not?.

Right now I'm at the part when Zex has found Tallgease.
 
I remember all the Relena hate pages that came out during its Toonami broadcast. Gundam Wing is a good gateway to the Gundam series, but I strongly prefer the UC series'. My favorite series is Zeta, hell it's probably my favorite anime overall.

But I hope you continue to enjoy Wing.

Are you watching it dubbed? Japanese? Or alternating?

Yeah... Relena's obsession with Heero is one of the silliest aspects of Gundam Wing. It mellows out a bit later on, but it still were many of the jokes about series originate from :sweat:

Though, after Marina from Gundam 00, I've come to appreciate Relena a bit more.

Wait until he launches it. That whole episode (iirc is all in one episode) is full of epic.
