Funimation Launches Anime App On Nintendo Switch

With the massive userbase the Switch is rocking these days, we find it odd there have barely been any streaming apps put on it. The 3DS had access to Netflix; the Switch does not? How does that make sense?
Currently the only streamer that has a Switch app is Hulu. They put it on the eShop years ago and we figured an avalanche of similar apps was on the way. Nope. Today’s news is the first one we’ve heard about in a long time: Funimation.
Load up the Funimation app and you can watch some of the world’s most popular anime anytime, anywhere (at least anywhere there’s a web connection). The library includes My Hero Academia, One Piece, Naruto, Megalobox, Cowboy Bebop and many, many others, and is updated regularly (check out the final season of Attack on Titan starting this month). Some shows can be viewed for free while others require a paid account.
