Formatted my comp for the 1st time

Forever Knight

Eye See You
I formatted my home PC for the very first time since buying it in 2006. Not bad if I do say so myself.

A problem I noticed was after formatting it the harddrive space was still the same as it was before I did the formatting and this bothered me and I figured something may have been wrong with the computer.

3 weeks later...

I was bored and did a virus scan on the comp and noticed it was scanning old files I had before the format and I was like WTF?... So this lead me to going through the Administration files and **** and I found EVERYTHING I HAD BEFORE, it was like the computer cleared itself and kept everything on back up. At this point I had 40gigs of 270...

So I deleted all the old Administration files and now I'm up to 200 gigs.

I never knew the newer computers did this...

My old computer crashed frequently and had to be reformated frequently. It was quite a pain in the ass...that was the reason why I switched to a Mac.

I back up my info and format everytime I install a new OS.

Except for the last time when my computer finally had enough and died on me. :(

@forever,

you may have quick formated it instead of fully erased the drive... or your drive might be partitioned really funny.

anyway, try installing linux, its fun and awesome, you can dual boot to windows if you must.

also, hello, my first post. :buttrock:
