Well yes Ika belonged to the Shiba Clan, but logically, back then there weren't Armaments for the Super Robos so technically speaking, maybe Ika, Kabuto, Kajiki, and Tora wouldn't have appeared.

Say that Shinkenger was made after Liveman. We would likely have ShinkenOh, EbiOrigami, and DaiKaiShinkenOh, following Liveman's two main robos which can combine together. Sure, they'd look different from how they do now, but that's how I picture it.
This may be true, but Toei did experiment on a sixth member with X1 Mask on Hikari Sentai Maskman (1987). If Shinkenger were done in the Showa era, it would have probably expanded further on the sixth member idea, but Genta's appearance would have been less prominent.
I don't think they'd be very different at all; sure, they'd be played by older, more experienced actors, but the core five all fall into well-worn sentai archetypes dating back to the seventies and eighties. Details about characterization and development would be tweaked, but the core substance of them would be unchanged.

The 'sixth' hero was actually experimented way before Maskman did it so in a way, Genta's character could've been another sixth ranger prototype since the sixth ranger idea didn't get expanded on until Zyuranger. Nonetheless Genta's character wouldn't have been as important as he is if the show was done in the 80s.

I kinda envisioned Takeru and Ryunosuke to be completely unchanged. Mako-chan and Kotoha-chan would have some character changes that would only apply to the '80s. Chiaki is somewhat of a question mark, as rebellious youths of the '80s are completely different from those of today. Would he have been spending his time and money playing arcade games?
Here are a couple of other scenarios:
1. Since cellular phones were not widely used in the Showa era, what would be the Shinkengers' henshin device? As a matter of fact, what were the ancestral Shinkengers' henshin devices?
2. It's been shown in the series and the movie that the Shinkenger suits date all the way back to Shiba Retsudo, the first head of the Shiba House. Would this apply to the Showa Shinkengers?
And one final scenario:
Why not make the Showa Samurai Sentai Shinkenger the prequel to the Heisei show, featuring the adventures of Masataka Shiba and his clan, right up to Doukoku Chimatsuri being sealed away and young Takeru being handed the position of 18th Head of the Shiba House? Maybe we can collectively make a fanfic out of this.
