Finally playing Mass Effect 2-Here are my observations

Wraithstrike

Resident Precureologist
So I picked Mass Effect 2, and have just picked Tali up again. I'm enjoying it so far, and I have some statements which you can probably agree with if you played it.
1) The Illusive Man. I want to take his little death stick and ram it so far down his throat that he'll get tobacco poisoning by direct injection.

2) Miranda. Any woman who has to be genetically engineered to be perfect, isn't. However, there is a likelihood that I might start the romance subplot with her or Jack.

3)Jacob. I like him. Please Please Please don't make me make another Kaiden/Ash choice for him.

4) Jack: If I don't start the romance with her, I'm going to find some way to hook her up with Zaeed.

5) Grunt and by extension, O'keer: Oh my god! It's Megatron!

6)Ash comes out on Horizon telling the mechanic that I'm a god, and when I mention Cerberus, she treats me like a fallen angel.

7) How long do I suffer under the pretense that I'm not working for Cerberus? I want to sever ties with the Illusive Man, get the Omega-4 relay running and hand him into Alliance command.

8) Now I have Particle Beam. Ho Ho Ho.

9) Garrus is the kind of guy I'd want watching my back, babysitting kids, or cooking the barbeque for everyone. He's that awesome.

10) I want to make sure as much of my team survives through to ME3 as possible. I also want the Council to survive, so that when the Reapers attack, the Airquoting turian bastard has to call me up begging for help, so I can respond "Ah yes the 'Council.' We have dismissed those claims."

11) Paragon Interrupts are awesome. I'm the goddamned Superman.

12) The sub-missions where the scanner picks up an anomaly are really well done. Trying to find my way through the ruined hulk of a freighter to find out what happened to it is awesome.

13) I'm just now getting into loyalty missions. We'll find your father's ship, relocate your sister, and blow up the lab that created you. You're part of my crew and if holding on to means doing dirty work, so be it.

14) There are few things quite as exhilarating as sneaking on up a Geth Colossus, shutting down the shields with rapid fire and emptying a full complement of grenades right in its big stupid eye.

15) I still want an Elcor, Hanar and Volus on the crew. Especially if we can get some backmounted heavy weapons for the Elcor. "Dramatically. Eat this."

I have still yet to find Zaeed. Incidentally, I understand why you shouldn't go backwards in gaming...ME1 SUCKS compared to ME2. Meh.

If you use the free Cerebrus Network card before starting the game, you can download Zaeed, and he'll be the first person you encounter on Omega.

What? ME1 IMO, and I am not alone here, is much better than ME2. Don't get me wrong ME2 is great, but they shouldn't even pretend to call it an RPG anymore. I don't want to get into the "what's an RPG" debate", but ME1 had a nice mix of shooter and RPG to me. ME2 is pure shooter. ME2's characters are also pretty cool, but they are not really all that important to the big picture of the story.

Remember what I said about the cigarette? Now I'm not content to do it with one. I want to ram a whole pack, case and all, down his throat.

Stupid freaking derelict collector ship. Die in the fire of a thousand suns, Illusive.

ME1's story is much better, I agree, but what annoys me most is the mechanism for Combat - the HUD wheel.
