I just came across an old TV Magazine from '86 with the fan drawings of Flashman in the back. A number of the entries were made by people in their early teens. But, that might be because tokusatsu wasn't an idiot-fest then...

I don't think I'm being harsh at all. I just think he's BSing because it seems quite obvious to me. I don't think it's necessary for you to know my age and I don't think it's necessary for me to know yours but my guess is that you're a fully grown adult. By the way, I'm lovin the super kiddy dekaranger... it's a cool series but I can't say that I'm a hardcore fanboy when it comes to it. I never waste my money on toku merchendise, I never get into 'deep' discussions about tv shows, I just watch them for fun.

There's a difference between voicing an opinion over a dumb TV show and criticizing the way someone's life is.

I don't know how aware of it you are, or if it was your intention, but your posts came off as pretty dicky. Here's how it essentially reads:

Sentairanger: This Japanese exchange student I met likes tokusatsu! He has Blade toys.

As I said, I'm not sure if you intended it, but there's a "tone" in certain little items such as "He feels safe with toys? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight" (that extended "right" rings of smart-assiness, don't you think?)

a certain member here even said himself a long time ago that at a certain age Japanese kids are supposed to grow out of watching Tokusatsu. I have Japanese friends and they too have told me that when I asked them about Kamen Rider.
