E3.....Dead

Wow, E3 has been around for so many years, how could they stop? So is the only thing we're suppose to get excited about now is TGS?

That's weird but makes sense I guess. Why blow millions of dollars on an exhibit if it's not helping your revenue. The money is better spent else where.

Gamespot is reporting that it won't be going away but rather downsizing from a large venue to a smaller one. Whether it's true or not, we'll have to wait since all sources seem to say that an official announcement will be made soon.

Well you got to other stand E3 has been around since the internet was still new,so I guess since there is more info and previews on upcoming games on the net I think there is no need, thats what I think,or E3 cost so much to produce with the exhibit and all, they should really get more sponsors or pick a state or town to host E3,not just LA you know.

That's pretty much it. They're spending millions to rent out booths and put on shows at this convention that, really, doesn't get the attendance you think it does, and now we have websites where we can get all of the scoop on upcoming games, along with trailers, etc... that we don't really need the show.

Besides, we still have PAX.

We have websites where we can get the scoop on new games....because the people that work for the websites when to E3. Beyond that, E3 has for a good while not been open to the public.

And, I was going to respond to Kyusaku and say that TGS isn't really something that non-Japanese-speaking people look forward to, but that's a lie. I look forward to that more than E3 because I really don't give a **** about the latest WW2 or Post-Apocalyptic War shooter.

If TGS got half of the coverage, in english, that E3 gets it'd be much more anticipated by english speakers. It's just not many Americans want to make the trip out to Japan to cover the event. Most of the time E3 takes place in these ppl's backyard so they don't have to go so far to cover it.
