Drive & Gaim - Movie Wars Full Throttle

I sort of liked the Gaim part. Takatora and Micchy reflected on their past mistakes and they were given a chance to redeem themselves.

I agree. As bad as most of what was going on in Gaim's part of the movie, watching Takatora and Micchy actually redeeming themselves by looking back at their past mistakes is the only thing that I would enjoy watching again and again and again.

Drive's part was actually, not that bad as well. I just wish that they would make Kamen Rider Lupin a recurring character for the show.

Baron's appearance in the Movie Taisen portion of the film just felt like it could've been better if they didn't made him into yet another "dead" character who only showed up for the team-up to just die yet again. We've seen that cliche being done a billion times now.

Overall, Movie Taisen Full Throttle was just an alright crossover. Nothing special, just alright.

Well, with rumours that Lupin may possibly return, I figured I'd best finally get around to watching this. It's actually alright.

Gaim's part is the best of course. Takatora dives in to try and redeem himself, and Mitchy er... continues to try and "save" Mai, but with a more sympathetic portrayal. I especially liked how the guy who was quite happy to kill his brother now doesn't want to risk hurting him. And we got a triple rider kick. :anime:

Drive's part was less memorable story-wise. Though I did like the falling transformation and, of course, his own Rider kick. The final part was the usual "just go with it" action piece wth some toys to shill, but at least they didn't drag any past Riders into it to upstage the Gaim and Drive casts.

Overall, probably one of the better Movie Wars. Now to psych myself up to the point where I'll consider watching Gaim Gaiden...
