I know, I'm certainly late to the party on this one, but after recently watching it I have to say I really enjoyed it. The singing was great (it involving Neil Patrick Harris made it a given, much like "Beware The Music Meister!" from Batman: Brave and the Bold) the story was well done, and supposedly the whole thing was done with only $200,000.

Better yet, and I'm suprised I haven't heard this before, the musical became the first "internet show" to ever get nominated, and win, an Emmy in 2009.

For anyone who hasn't seen the musical, I'd highly check it out (the DVD apparently came with "Commentary the Musical" to make it even more "meta"):

And there's word a sequel is in the early stages, as well. I wonder how that will turn out?

Yeah, the DVD also has two commentary tracks. One regular, and the other is a musical.

There was also a one-hot issue released by Dark Horse, and written by Zack Whedon.

Yup I quite enjoyed that little series ... There are a couple other ones I've watched as well
