I enjoyed this episode a lot. Loved the Fantastic Voyage reference and the ending was just spectacular. Calpaldi is killing it as The Doctor. Someone who is reborn being reminded of his past and how it can change people was a great part of this episode.

Hmmm, to me it felt (much as last week did) like a mashup of other ideas that they've already used in New Who. They took elements of "Dalek" (where Nine encountered that imprisoned Dalek) and mixed it with those people Eleven encountered that had shrunk themselves down to pilot a robot person (they even nicked the dangerous antibodies bit from that encounter), perhaps with a few shades of that "Journey to the Centre of The Tardis" episode from the last series.
Clara meets her love interest...and it's painfully awkward. The behind-the-scenes show 'Doctor Who Extra' even has Clara's actress admit that she could barely say the lines because of their awkwardness, so I presume it's on purpose. But yeah, here we go again - here's hoping they don't just make it a copy of Rose/Mickey or Amy/Rory.
Finally, we get to see Missy again briefly. I dunno, I kinda wish we could just have a series about going on adventures without needing a season-arcing big bad. I'm a bit burned out on them at this point.
I really want to like Twelve, but he hasn't had that great episode to get me hooked yet.

The other doctors had these episodes, and yes I did think of the episode of nine's but I really didn't get it mish mashing ideas. I mean, it's a common occurrence in Who. I honestly thought of Fantastic Voyage. I espically like at the end how the Doctor was disappointed in himself and sadden that Hate is all people see in him because of his past. I feel this series is all about redemption of one self. Vastra was talking about this to Clara last episode.
As for the Daleks, every Dalek episode is pretty much boring episodes to me. I hate the Daleks, way overhyped Who enemy but I liked this one for some reason.
As for Clara, I am not paying much attention to her because she is leaving soon, at Christmas time. If they don't kill her off then she might come back in a episode way later but her story this season will be short lived. The new companion actually seems like a good mix though. Finally not a guy that is being pulled around by a leash and him being a soldier in interesting as how it is going to go over with The Doctor, especially he denied that one girl because she was one. This episode alluded a lot of things about up coming relationships and struggles.
I am just as curious about Missy as everyone, but you need to have story arcs in order to attract an audience these days. It is something new who has been doing since it's rebirth, it's just not as subtle which I wish they would go back to. I would loved to be shocked again like I was on the last episode of ninths run and they mention what Bad Wolf was and how it was in every episode before hand. That is something Mofit can't do right and something I will agree with you on.
