Did this happen to your PSP too?

I haven't used my PlayStation Portable for a long time after I came back from my dreaded camp, and just now after having a horrible time with my scanner, I decided to chill out on my bed and watch some stuffnjunks on my PSP. Just as I tried to turn it on, the thing wouldn't work. I was realy baffled because I was pretty sure the thing was fully charged last time I used it during my camp. And I was almost worried that as my scanner became fucked, so could've my PSP.

So after having another horrid time trying to search for the recharger, I tried recharging it. The orange light lit up meaning it was recharging, and I was like "PHEW". So while it was charging, I turn on the PSP, it shown me this little sequence that appeared when I first recieved my PSP, and went to the bit where it asks you to set the time and date, etc..

Thank Goodness. But I wonder how all the power disappeared? I'm sure it had lots of power in it while I was in camp..

So anyway, does this happen to your PSP's too? Does it's power mysteriously drain out when you not use it for a long while?

You possibly had it on standby mode, which still consumes energy than having it completely off. The battery itself also loses charge over time(not permanently).

Speaking of which, I heard there was another battery which you replace Sony's official one, and it lasts somewhat longer..
