The new Diamond diversity report reveals that the commitments made after the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020 haven't led to the necessary structural changes in the UK TV industry. Paul Moore, chair of the Creative Diversity Network, pointed out a concerning decline in representation of Black, Asian, and minority ethnic groups.

It's disheartening to see that despite the momentum from 2020, the industry still struggles with these crucial changes.

It's frustrating to hear that the Diamond diversity report showed such a lack of progress in the UK TV industry. It really felt like there was a powerful shift after the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, with many shows promising to do better. But seeing the stats and hearing from insiders like Paul Moore just emphasizes how slow the change actually has been.

I thought some series, like I May Destroy You, really pushed boundaries and offered diverse narratives, but that kind of innovation needs to be the norm, not an exception. What shows or networks do you think are leading the charge, or are there any that you feel have missed the mark?
