just as the title says, you can talk about these two shows. i haven't seen much of gridman only just up to ep. 5, but this show is pretty good.

Amp and Lucky were funny...:laugh:
But, I liked Ampere better than Lucky...him and his wierd@$$ quotes...I wonder what PR would be like if they changed their morph call every week. :laugh:
Also, having Sam's friends actually pilot the mecha was better than controlling them with a control pad.

(Changing the call every EPISODE (not week) was because they wanted them to show that it was different than Power Rangers, VR Troopes and the Masked Rider pilot (which showed July 1995). Also the attacks happened every day or multiple weeks. Also they weren't "given powers", or changers, morphers, whatsoever. Also, Zordon never gave an official morhping call.

The morphing thing was later coined by Jason (Austin) through the show but reall Margaret, Shuki, Haim and Adrian didn't like the idea of sudden morphing or the whole "Let's do it!" fade of the 90's. Plus Salt-N-Pepper's song that year caused a lot of controversary so therefore most of the adapted shows at the time had to come up with something significantly catchy.)

In fact, Season 2 of SHSSS, well the episodes they showed, had standard quotes. Although Lucky replaced Amp and Syd now changed school. Elizabeth did movie quotes, or fashion jokes and Sam, Malcolm and Tanker did one call.
This series was really good until Sam Collins left immediatley after the second miniseries for "BL." Dumb jock. Talk about your Chuck Cunningham syndrome.
