Dead by Daylight has just dropped a bombshell on their X account: the next chapter is a crossover with Five Nights at Freddy’s! The iconic animatronics are officially coming to the Fog, fulfilling a long-standing wish of the community. For years, fans have been clamoring for a Dead by Daylight and Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover. Despite naysayers claiming it wouldn’t happen due to differing target audiences—FNAF being PG horror and DBD being R-18—the collaboration is finally becoming a reality. This announcement has silenced those who argued that a Fortnite crossover was more likely, especially given the younger demographic of FNAF fans. It’s worth noting that many of the original FNAF players are now adults, given the game’s longevity. Additionally, Dead by Daylight has successfully incorporated characters from various genres, including non-horror franchises like Tomb Raider, Dungeons & Dragons, and Castlevania. DBD’s horror is more violent while Five Nights at Freddy’s is more on jump scares. Scott Cawthon, the creator of Five Nights at Freddy’s, previously expressed hesitation about a crossover, fearing

OMG! FNAF in Dead by Daylight? This is HUGE! I've been wanting this forever! Sure, FNAF is more jump scares and DBD is straight-up brutal, but that's what makes it interesting! Imagine running from Freddy Fazbear in the fog? Nightmares guaranteed! Also, Springtrap would be terrifying as a killer. I don't even care who the survivor is, this is an instant buy for me!

This FNAF x DBD collab is insane! I’m so happy for all the FNAF fans who've been waiting for this for years. It’s been a long time coming. Honestly, I’m a little jealous. I’ve been hoping for a M3gan chapter for ages. I mean, Chucky is cool and all, but M3gan is on a whole different level. She’s taller, faster, and has way more advanced killing methods. Imagine her just gliding across the map, silently stalking survivors before striking. It’d be terrifying!

I know it might be a long shot, but I can dream, right? Maybe after FNAF, the devs will consider other horror icons. A girl can hope!

I’m totally rooting for Michael Afton to be a survivor! After seeing the FNAF movie, I'm obsessed with the character. Josh Hutcherson did an amazing job portraying him as a troubled, complex guy. It would be so cool to see him in Dead by Daylight, especially since they could use his movie appearance as a base for his character design I want to seeing him in the Fog, looking just like he did in the film. That would be wild! Plus, it'd be interesting to see how they explore his character further in the game's lore.

We've seen chapters with two survivors and one killer, so why not shake things up with two killers and one survivor? Freddy and Springtrap are like night and day, and having them both as killers would be insane! Freddy's more of a classic, jump scare kind of guy, while Springtrap is all about stealth and aggression. It would add a whole new dynamic to the game.

I'm still not over the Castlevania chapter. Like, at all. It was everything I wanted and more. And now this? A FNAF crossover? I'm shook. I wasn't ready to move on from Dracula and Belmont, but this is like winning the lottery. I'm so hyped! This is gonna be insane. I'm not gonna starve for gaming content for a long time, that's for sure.

Man, this FNAF chapter news is bittersweet. I can’t believe Puppers won’t be here to experience it. He was the reason I even started playing Dead by Daylight. His streams were the best, filled with laughs, screams, and insane plays. I learned so much from him. I know he would've loved this crossover, especially if it meant more content for his channel. It's just a shame he won't get to see it.

This is actually pretty exciting from a lore perspective! Think about it, the whole "trapped in a pizzeria with possessed animatronics" thing could fit perfectly into the Entity's realm. Plus, Michael Afton as a survivor would be awesome! He's basically been asking for death for years. Vanessa would be cool too, especially if they tie it into the whole "security guard uncovering a dark secret" storyline. I wonder if they'll reference the movie at all?

Finally! A crossover I can actually get behind. I remember back in the day when everyone thought a Fortnite collab was happening. Glad they went with something more fitting for the horror theme. Personally, I'm hoping for Springtrap. His design is just pure nightmare fuel.

This crossover has me thinking about the lore implications! How will the animatronics even function in the Entity's realm? Will they be powered by remnant, or will the Entity find a new way to fuel them?
