The DC Comics headliner for February of 2024 doesn’t come in its own book (at least not yet). It’s Batman #142 through #144 — three issues that will be released weekly throughout February and promise to reveal something DC never has before: the origin of the Joker. Various movies and TV shows have had their take, but ther has never been an official comics reveal as to who the Joker originally was. Will The Joker: Year One contain the answers fans have been speculating over for decades? Or it another trick, like Batman’s wedding or the last dozen rug pulls DC has done? Let’s find out together, shall we? The Joker: Year One starts in Batman #142 on February 6 and concludes in Batman #144 on February 20.
