Dark X-Men Dossiers

mimic! \^o^/ long time no see XDD

and... hmm i just decided like two days ago... to try to catch up on my comics...again -_- i'm always so behind ;_; i guess now's a good time as any *goes off to read new mutants :D*

I'd feel a little more secure about the story if Matt Fraction had a better grasp on X-Men history. There are some holes in the current Sisterhood arc with Revanche and he's completely wasting the historical dynamics between Wolverine and Deathstrike, to say nothing of Psylocke and Spiral.
The Dark X-Men plot however probably has less to do more to do with older X-Men history and more to do with the recent stuff such as Cyclop's secret kill squad and San Francisco being a mutant haven in contrast to the Sisterhood story.

I'm pretty sure at least some of that might be coming to light once it starts up. Scott and Emma have both been lying to each other and sooner or later, it's bound to come out. Especially since Beast knows about Warren being Archangel again.

Still, it seems like a big waste to me to not take full advantage of the character histories I was talking about. I mean, to have minimal or no reaction between those characters at all feels wrong, to say the least.

Given that the Dark X-Men team is Norman's public team of X-Men as a counterweight to the real X-Men, why is Namor on board when the general public in the marvel universe has a generally negative perception of him due to his numerous attacks on land and his sleeper agents inserted into the country who got out of hand and committed terrorist attack on the scale of Stamford.

I was always under the impression that public opinion of Namor was split for the most part. That his status as an Avenger sort of evened it out.

Plus, you have to take into account that Osborn's pulling a hell of a snow job on the general public and they might see Namor's presence with the group as his way of improving his overall image. Of course, Namor, being who he is doesn't view it like that at all.

The problem is Namor is that he is viewed as unstable and untrustworthy. He flooded NYC with a giant tidal wave during WW2 while at the same time was fighting with Captain America and the Torch. Him joining with Osborn and the Dark X-Men would be viewed suspiciously much like Muammar Gaddafi's alleged "reformation".

Oh god yes. He has the ego of Doom, with the temper of Wolverine.

Also, wearing that particular suit isn't very smart. It's generally considered his "villain" costume.
