You may be roasting right now, but the transition between the dog days of August heat and the chilly winds of November cold is just three months…shorter than you think. The time is now for Crunchyroll to lay out its Thanksgiving month plans. I like that Crunchyroll is finally doing another complete edition for Attack on Titan. Collecting all the final season episodes in one package is convenient. Before, I had to keep track of Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3, and it felt messy. The extra features sound good too, especially the voice actor panels. It is not easy to find those online later because sometimes the streaming versions do not keep them. The Chibi Theater also looks like a fun bonus. I already own the earlier parts separately, but I think I might double dip just to have them in a single SteelBook. It feels like the right way to close out a series that was important for the last decade.

The extras for My Hero Academia Season 7 Part 2 look very thoughtful. Six metallic cards and a 64-page book with interviews is a lot. To me, interviews are more valuable than just pictures, because they give insight into how the show is created. I like to read about how the actors and staff approach their roles. It gives me appreciation for the effort behind the series. I think Crunchyroll is learning from other companies like Aniplex who usually put more care into their releases.

I am more interested in Slime Season 3 Part 2. The enamel pin and sticker sheet make it feel like a collector’s set, not just discs. A 120-page art book is also impressive, since that is quite thick compared to what anime sets usually include. I wonder if the pin design will be Rimuru’s slime form. If so, I think a lot of fans will wear it proudly. It is the type of item that makes the limited edition worth buying over standard.

For me the biggest news is the reissue of Dragon Ball Super: Broly in SteelBook. That movie is my favorite from Dragon Ball in years. The SteelBook editions always sell out fast, so I am glad they are giving people another chance. When it first came out, I missed the preorders and could only buy the normal edition. Now I can finally upgrade to something nicer for display.

I am curious about I’ll Become a Villainess Who Goes Down in History. It is not as big as Hero Academia or Slime, but Crunchyroll bringing it to Blu-ray shows they are willing to invest in smaller titles. I prefer collecting full season sets, so this is something I might try. The title itself is unusual, and I think the Blu-ray market needs more variety than just action shounen.

I think Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest getting a SteelBook so quickly after release is interesting. It shows Crunchyroll believes fans will collect it the same way as Dragon Ball. Personally, I did not expect it this soon, but Fairy Tail fans are very loyal. A SteelBook edition is a good way to honor that.

The extra features for Attack on Titan make me happy, but I hope Crunchyroll fixed the subtitle errors that were in streaming. If I am paying for a complete collection, I want to see accurate text. It is a big investment, and with so many discs, quality control is important.i

As someone who missed Dragon Ball Super: Broly when it was first printed, the SteelBook edition is very good news. That movie still has some of the most energetic animation in the franchise, and I want to own it in a format that feels premium. The timing is also nice, because November is when I usually prepare gifts for friends who are anime fans. SteelBooks make great gifts because they look durable and stylish.

The Attack on Titan Final Season Complete set is the one I will buy for sure. Having all three parts in one box is practical. Collecting them separately felt confusing, since the "final season" kept stretching into more episodes. Now I can finally have everything together without worrying about missing discs. The bonus content, especially the voice actor panels, makes it even better. I think many people waited for exactly this type of release.
