Coyote Vs Acme Officially Saved!

There may be no recent entertainment news story more controversial than what happened to Coyote Vs Acme, the hybrid animated / live-action Looney Tunes movie that was supposed to come out in theaters in 2023. The film had massive buzz, with the few critics who saw it raving…but that seemed to mean nothing to new Warner Bros CEO David Zaslav, who needed quick cash to pay off the debt left over from previous owners AT&T. Despite VERY public demand to release the film, Zaslav instead chose to shelve it and file a tax writeoff. Originally, three separate Looney Tunes movies were put into production by AT&T in 2019, intended for release on HBO Max: Coyote Vs. Acme, The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, and a third film called Bye-Bye Bunny which was never completed. The first two films were eventually graduated to WB’s theatrical schedule…and then removed. But fans never lost hope, and after the small outfit Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights to The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, there was immediate desire for that OTHER film to be rescued. Looks like it has come to pass. Multiple media outlets are now […]

About time! Seriously, I was getting so annoyed with the whole situation. It felt like they were just throwing away something good. I’m glad someone finally saw the potential in Coyote Vs Acme. I’m really looking forward to seeing it in theaters. I’ve always liked the Looney Tunes, and this sounds like a cool new take. I hope it’s as fun as everyone says

This Coyote Vs Acme news is certainly a positive development. It's good to see a film rescued from what seemed like a permanent shelf. I'm now hoping this opens the door for other projects that were similarly affected. I can't help but wonder if Batgirl might be next. It would be great to see that film get a chance to be seen, too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It is interesting how these situations play out. The initial decision by Warner Bros. to shelve the film was, in my opinion, a clear example of prioritizing short-term gains over long-term artistic value. However, the intervention of Ketchup Entertainment demonstrates that there is still a market for quality films. I believe that Coyote Vs Acme has the potential to be a significant success, and I am eager to observe its performance in 2026

Honestly? I thought it was gone for good. That whole tax write-off thing seemed pretty final. But, I guess, never say never. It's good that Ketchup is giving Coyote Vs Acme a chance. I’m curious about the story, especially the mix of live-action and animation. It could be really unique, or it could be a mess. We will see

Honestly, I cannot help but think that the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery was a catastrophic mistake for the entertainment industry. It seems to have created a climate of financial panic, leading to the cancellation or shelving of projects that had genuine potential. The treatment of the DC Extended Universe, the dismantling of the Arrowverse, and the general shift in the CW's programming strategy are all indicative of a company that has lost its creative compass. It is a sad state of affairs when a once-vibrant network, known for giving shows a chance to develop an audience, now operates under a constant threat of cancellation. I truly wish the acquisition had never happened; the impact on both creators and viewers has been devastating.

I was really disappointed when I heard Warner Bros. shelved Coyote vs Acme. It just seemed like such a waste of talent and effort. I mean, John Cena and Will Forte in a Looney Tunes movie? That sounds like pure entertainment. To think they were going to just write it off for a tax break? That's just bad business. I am glad Ketchup Entertainment stepped in. I hope it does well in 2026. I think it deserves to be seen, and I am looking forward to seeing it

I thought this movie was gone forever. It's interesting how these things work. One studio's loss is another's gain. I'm not a huge Looney Tunes fan, but the cast and the premise are intriguing. I will most likely see it in 2026, especially if it gets good reviews. It is nice to see a movie get a second chance.

Frankly, I thought Warner Bros. made a huge mistake. A $70 million movie just thrown away? That does not make sense. I read some of the test audience reviews, and it was getting good feedback. I am happy that another company saw its potential. I think this will be a good movie. I am sure it will make money, and I am glad that the people who worked on it will get to see their work on the big screen.

Seeing that 'Coyote vs. Acme' has found a new home gives me a little hope. It was such a strange decision for Warner Bros. to shelve completed films. Honestly, I'm still really disappointed about 'Batgirl.' That movie had a lot of potential, and it's a shame that it might never see the light of day. I truly hope that, like 'Coyote vs. Acme,' someone else will step in and give 'Batgirl' a chance. It would be fantastic if that film could also get the opportunity to be seen by audiences. It just seems like such a waste of talent and resources for it to remain locked away. I keep my fingers crossed that news of a new buyer for Batgirl will come out soon.
