He looks really cool, but I don't really see anything resembling spawn. If Hibiki where a hamburger-headed soldier of satan, then yeah I'd say it's like spawn. It's just that I think the Japanese version of a "demon" doesn't have so much to do with the judeo-christian concept seen in spawn.

The entire body structure and armor reminds me of Spawn (except the color of course), the fact its a demon motif (Hell), and the fact he can do battle without the helmet and just the suit on reminds me of Spawn. I don't know how anyone can look at Hibiki and say it doesn't in any way remind them in some small way of Spawn.

Well Ryuki didn't have any bugs or bikes. Alternative was a Cricket, but he wasn't a Rider. And sure Ryuki and Knight got the upgrades (the only ones) with the monster things, but they were only used to do the final vent. So they don't really count.

And the music doen't have anything to do with anything.

Yeah, but not all demons are associated with satan or the devil. The term "demon" can also mean spirit of even god. That's why I don't see that spawn connection. Yeah he has some resemblance to the movie version of the spawn costume a little. But the movie wasn't even a very close representation of the comic.

Also a Rider fighting without the helmet dates back to the original series. It just hasn't really been done since then.

Sorry if I seem to be attacking you. I've kinda turned negative toward spawn as my opinion of Todd McFarlane has changed in reccent years.

LOL. How many episodes have you seen? Five it a chance. I've seen 1-6, its pick up, a little.
