Not looking or sounding good. I'm really annoyed by this whole idea that the comicbook inspired costume is being used as the one he hates. Yeah lets kick the movie off with a middle finger to the source material. Nice. :disappoin
Very disappointing. Pretty much the kind of copout I was expecting. Nolan armor goes bicentennial. Not to say it's totally horrible. It isn't. Hey it ain't a Schumacher suit. But he just kinda looks like a GI Joe figure. Brown looks like **** against his colors. Chinstrap looks silly. No wings=fail.

What I mean is in the sense that they went the Ultimate route and armor route, left the wings out, etc. To me it feels like a copping out from being a superhero costume because it's embarrassed of the source material kind of thing.
I get that not everything about what works on the page works on film but I think this stuff often gets so over-thought. But as I said in another post for me as a superhero fan and a viewer I think bringing the character to life is just more important than wedging the whole thing into this narrow box of "realism". That's not to say I want the suits on film to look like halloween costumes but I just think there is often an over-estimation of won't work and an under-estimation of what will when it comes to this stuff in way that kinda sucks the fun out of it (by fans and pros alike) IMO.
Still needs the silly little wings. If I wanted realism I wouldn't be interested in a story about a guy who fights a war with only a shield becomes frozen then saved by the Norse thunder God, a drunken guy in a metal shell, and two people that can grow or shrink. Also that suit looks too complex and out of place for a WWII period place.
