Plot Summary: In this world, from ancient times, people were eaten by beings called "youma". For a long time, people lived without any means to counter them. However, a half-human, half-youma female warrior was born.... Female soldiers known as "Claymore" who, with silver eyes that can see through to the true form of "youma", and carry a large sword as a weapon, continue to battle those which people have named "youma".

anyone else watch this series, kinda like Berserk lite with chicks (not usually a fan of description by comparisson but it gets the point across) just watched ep 8 and holy hell this show just keeps getting better, the action is nuts and tons of crazy monster fights and swordplay that can only be described as hokuto no ken-esque

here is a chunk of ep 8, if you dig this clip hold back and find the rest of the series to get caught up, but the show is nuts i am almost tempted to get back into the manga

I read the manga a while ago and wasn't that interested, but I really liked the anime, it's one of the few shows that I've been following this season.

same here, bought the first 2 volumes thought "cool but don't know if i would follow the series any further" but it is twice as cool in when translated to the anime format

I just watched the first 6 episodes. For whatever reason I almost wanted to NOT like this show, but it's awesome and within a single episode it totally won me over. IMO this is easily the best anime of 07 so far. The action is of the highest caliber, and the story is as good as Berzerk (which has the best story of almost any anime/manga IMO). If you like anime, and you haven't checked this show out yet, you're really missing out.
