hey, anyone plays city of villians here? help!!! my downloading of the patch is taking forever.... its already 2 days since i started, and its onli at 1k/sec... sigh, any advice?

Did you just install it? 'Cause downloading three years of updates WOULD take forever. I know it did for me when I reinstalled.

Yeah!!!! i juz got it, n installed it... sigh... is there any way to circumvent the dling? or to speed up the process? i tried port forwarding... it worked for like 1 hr... then sumhow my comp juz shut down n now i haf been resetting hte settings it juz doesn get the speed up from 1k/sec to 40k/sec

You know you can ask them questions when you have problems. You'll get much better help than by just asking random people.

Yeah, I've been playing it again myself lately.
I'd also advise checking the forums on cityofheroes.com and check the Technical Bugs and Help section, most people on there are rather helpful and they have their technicians reading the forum, also the other site suggested will help out as well.
This tends to happen a bit when a new issue is released, though, there's been a couple of problems lately with connections and connection speeds. (Took me forever to apply last night's 1 am :eyebrow: patch) which is highly unusual for me. So.. take it what you will.

managed to download the whole chunk... if u guys need any help, port forwarding is damn useful haha... its a great game man... juz cant get my char to look n attack like my fav kamen rider...

Be lucky you're playing it now. When my friend and I (Another Kamen Rider fan) first joined pre-issue 1. The Martial arts set looked --horrible-- compared to what it is now.
Pick a Scrapper or Stalker's "Martial Arts" set and get to level 32.. the final attack does have a sort of ... RIDER KICK! feel to it.
..everything else? Well.. you can pretend at least.
The look part is the toughest, as one of the key costume pieces, the bug-eyes & Antenna cannot be put on, except without a mask or something. (Not so bad now that there's insect face pieces.. but still)
But I'm glad you got everything worked out. Good gaming to you.
