Ever notice how cities are constantly devastated and then fine the next day in recent Tokusatsus? What the hell do they got? Kaiju/Kaijin insurance? Gekiranger is HUGE example of this. We always see an enemy or two that can do that. It's amusing.

Much of the time it's the same buildings that get it! A few have been destroyed over and over since at least the early 80s, and it wouldn't be a real super sentai show without that old stock footage, just as traditional to the genre as [don't call it] spandex and the monster of the week!

In the last weeks episode of Shinkenger, they briefly mention the effects of monsters going around town killing people. So it is effective, in a certain sense. However, as a kids show, showing destroyed, apocalyptic towns every episode would probably be bad for ratings.

Doesn't stop a show like Megas XLR from wrecking Jersey almost every episode.
