Usually, it involves one of the following:

1) Monster inexplicably pretends to be Santa, even if the rest of the episode barely has Christmas-related content (Super-1)
2) Someone casually remarks "Oh ****! It's almost Christmas, isn't it?" (Ryuki & Kabuto)

That's what the GoGoFive one seems like to me. It wasn't as in your face and gimmicky as something like Kakuranger's Christmas episode, but it had a little more meaning than Ryuki's throw away Christmas references. The Matois were celebrating Christmas, while I seem to remember the monster of the week turning people into decorations on an evergreen. :shrug: I think why the episode stayed in mind was because Agito's Mahiro Morishita guest starred...

Kamen Rider #39 “The Great Murderer’s Party of Wolf-Manâ€, the greatest Christmas-themed episode ever, because it mixes all the usual holiday cheer with killer werewolves, Nazis getting crushed to death, and someone getting punched in the face. And there's nothing in that sentence I don't love.
