Are you sure it aired in the mainland? Because it aired in Hong Kong (little different than the mainland, I believe).

Well... these shows were never imported to mainland anyways, and they might never will.
However, Hongkong has its own system of broadcasting, they will be still importing Riders and Sentais for sure.

This banning thing is mostly against the local programs. The idea of "time traveling" kinda swormed novels and TVs in recent years. And old-timers just can't understand why people like watching/reading these stuff, so they order to ban. That's it.

I don't think that any toku, except Ultraman has aired in mainland China.
You need to remember that even though HK was handed over in 1997, it still has the 2-system thingy, and it is nowhere near the same as the mainland.

I am lucky to be staying in HK for a few years soon. It is a cool place, and a great place for tokusatsu fans.
They just make horrible dubs XD

As do I. I mean there are plenty of historical Chinese movies that stretch the truth and exaggerate on Chinese history. Time travel or no, it seems from their reasoning that those movies could be affected as well. :disappoin
