Today is the day HAIKYU!! The Dumpster Battle releases in US theaters. It’s the first of two wrap-up films for the HAIKYU!! anime, which told its story over four seasons of television. If you want to “try before you buy,” distributor Crunchyroll has released a scene from the film that anyone can watch free of charge. Shoyo Hinata loves the sport of volleyball, and idolizes a particular player known as the “Little Giant” (because he’s short). In his last year of middle school, Hinata created his own volleyball team with dreams of trophies in his future, but they were crushed against “King of the Court” Tobio Kageyama’s team that year. But Hinata wouldn’t give up, vowing to eventually re-match Kageyama and beat him. There was just one problem…now in high school, Hinata has found his new team now has Tobio as a member. In other words, Hinata’s only hope of winning now means working WITH his rival instead of against. That leads up to the movie’s events: Shoyo Hinata joins

Finally! I've been waiting ages for this movie. Haikyuu!! is one of the best sports anime ever, and knowing this is just the first part of the finale makes me even more excited. Seeing Hinata and Kageyama's rivalry turn into a weapon is pure genius, and the "Dumpster Battle" sounds epic. I gotta grab my tickets and some tissues – Haikyuu!! always gets me emotional!

This is interesting. The whole "unstoppable force meets immovable object" dynamic between Karasuno's offense and Nekoma's defense has me intrigued. The preview scene better showcase some of that tactical brilliance. I'm curious to see how Hinata's short stature and Kageyama's setting prowess overcome Nekoma's seemingly impenetrable wall. Definitely checking this out.

: I gotta admit, I prefer the dubbed version of Haikyuu!!. But hey, a movie's a movie! I wonder if the voice acting holds up in the subtitled version. The animation in the preview looked fantastic, keeping that signature Haikyuu!! style. Definitely gonna see it with some friends this weekend.

Two wrap-up movies? That's a bold move! I wonder how much content they'll be able to cover in each one. Knowing Haikyuu!!, they might pack a lot of story and character development in there. Guess I'll have to see both films to get the full experience. Time to plan my movie marathons!
