Okay kiddies, I need a new manga. Anime's nice and all, but there's nothing like, a nice long read. And I do mean long. I tend not to care about weak little five volume manga.
Here's some of the manga I've read, and their lengths, so you can get a good idea of the kind I'm interested in and how long they should be:
Video Girl Ai (15 volumes): Really, just ignore this one. Its the only shoujo manga I've ever read and liked, and will most probably remain that way.
Flame of Recca (33 volumes): I worship this manga. Really. The anime version just does not measure up to the awesome and greatness of the manga.
Houshin Engi (23 volumes): Really weird towards the end, but it had plenty of action and plot, so I loved it.
Rurouni Kenshin (28 volumes): What's to say about this wonderous manga that hasn't been said already?
Naruto: Yeah. It drags now and again (Sasuke in a barrel...who cares about Jerkface?) but much less than the anime.
Tenjou Tenge: Infinitely better once it breaks away from the storyline we get in the anime.
So you can tell I likes me a lot of kick-ass fight scenes, strong heroes that fight for the side of good with all their might, and plenty of plot, too. But obviously they need to be at least ten volumes or so.
