Oh my god, I've even written in perfect English and people are still saying they don't understand. I don't know whether they really don't understand or if they're just pretending they don't understand, and why they hell would you guys wanty to pretend you don't understand somnething. I wasn't really going to say anything, but...I don't think he's trying to garner any support over this. It's more like he's trying to get people to understand why he's boycotting Viacom.

It's rather simple, as Viacom has been making false copyright claims left and right on Youtube. Naturally this would leave its community quite sore, especially if they were one of Viacom's victims.

Honestly, if anyone threatened legal action over something I did not do, I'd be quite pissed.

His idea of boycotting Viacom is retarded. especially when the answer is so clearly obvious, when Viacom threatens you with legal action over Copyright Claims(especially when Viacom is in the wrong) you just smile say sure, when do you want to go to court and have them thrown out for Copyright infringment(Claiming to own Copyrights that you don't own). either one of two things happens.

1: they prove you're an asshat cuz they really do own it

2: you prove they are asshats cuz they don't own it, then you email youtube, citing the case a ample reason as to why they should start asking for proof for Copyright Claims in the future.

I never did say that I supported boycotting Viacom. I just said that I understood why he would do it. It won't necessarily do much though...Viacom owns a lot of franchises and consumers will be consumers.

Viacom is a large corporation that can afford the best lawyers around. I've got a feeling that if anyone filed a counterclaim, they quickly got crushed even if they were in the right.

So, yeah. I don't really think there is much to be done about it.
