what are these hidden parts of DL that you were sayin?

My guess would be the maintenance and service areas... places where the employees go but not the public. There's tons of "hidden" doors all over the park for characters/security to get in and out of the various attractions without being obvious about it.

That way, the Disneyland experience won't be hampered by a guy with a broom and a dustpan. :P

Wow, lots of us SoCal peeps on here.

but still you've never missed an entire year without goin there right? my neighbor works there and i could get in for free whenever i wanted to but the problem is, i never feel like goin. :P & what are these hidden parts of DL that you were sayin?

Well, I've only had a pass for the last three years or so, before that I only went when music groups did. Or if one of my plethora of friends who work there got me in for free. ;) But they've actually got restraints on how many people they can get in during any particular year...

^ This. ;)

There are lots of back ways around everything, so that if a marching band is trying to get from the entrance at Main Street to Small World, they don't have to do it out in the open. Also, cast members aren't supposed to wander around in areas where their outfits don't fit unless they're headed for the exit, so they need to take the back ways, too.

Oh, I see quite a few people with dustbins. Otherwise the popcorn would take over the world!!! :O_O:

You know, I would go to Disneyland for my b-day but unfortunately, it falls on the day I go back to school. I hope I don't have a long lab that day.

Back in california, in socal (palos verdes). Unfortunately for the fire, i am forced to burn. probably wont return to japan for another year

Your house burned? I've got friends who have had to evacuate, but no one whose house has burned as of yet... Though I got home last night at about 10:30 to discover that there was a blackout at my house. Meant I got a lot of sleep last night. :P

And now I can't breathe. x_x

wow that's so cool! this is the first time i've heard of those hidden parts of DL! but how were you guys able to access those kinda places though?

You can't, normally. It was only because there was a group of us in some sort of uniform that had to change clothes backstage, and then enter to get to either the stage near the castle, or up by Small World, if the group is doing a parade.

Did you ever see that weird building off the 5(?) freeway that is all curvy and twisty and changes color from green to blue and purple depending on the angle you look at it? That's backstage at Disneyland. It's right behind Toon Town.

It's been awhile since I went... too long, actually... but back in 98 you had to take a trolly like service from the parking lot to the front gate... and in doing so, you passed through what could best be described as a cordoned off area of a studio back lot. It's probably been fixed since then, though. They had just completed Tomorrowland's overhaul back then and just getting ready to start construction on California Adventure... or maybe they'd just opened that too. I can never remember.
